Southern Maine Music
Teachers Association

The Southern Maine Music Teachers Association (SMMTA) includes about a dozen studios, with our students coming from Bath to Biddeford and everywhere in between. Our goals are to support independent music teachers and to provide opportunities for our students to grow.

Teacher support and enrichment takes place through casual “Coffee and Connect” conversations and through more formal events for teacher growth twice a year. An evaluations recital and an outdoor spring musical celebration are among our annual opportunities for students.

Are you a member of MaineMTA who lives in southern Maine but has not yet joined the SMMTA? Please join us! Contact Liz at or Alice at for more information. Non-members are invited to visit once before joining.
